This project is about the beauty and colors of the pomegranate, as created by a rare collaboration of two artists who have mastered their crafts, Miriam Mass and Yitzchak Freeman; a blacksmith, who specializes in working with recycled metal, Stained-glass, mosaics and stone. The result of this collaboration is a rich juxtaposition of contrasting materials; the hardness of the steel and the soft warm textures of the fibers with wealth of colors enhanced by the addition of 24 carat gold leaf.  Each pomegranate is a unique masterpiece, of one of the most important and influential symbols in history, which has been documented many times over, with “major roles” in our cultures.
